Blake Crouch’s other books — Dark Matter, Recursion, and Upgrade — are all top-tier science fiction. I read those before I touched his Wayward Pines trilogy. As soon as I started, I couldn’t stop and finished the three in a weekend.
Science fiction books centered around the long-term effects of climate change are all over my reading list this year. This is the first of my foray into that arena. It could be considered more thriller/fantasy than science fiction, but it crosses a few genres. I have heard the show is not very good, so I have no plans on spoiling what was a great read by watching it, at least for now.
